Faith Family Showdown is a family party game built to be private by default. It has no ads inside the game, and no third-party tracking or analytics code ever runs in your browser or in our apps. You can play the whole game without an account. A few optional things — signing in to keep your purchases across devices, buying premium question packs, a website-only check that tells us when one of our own ads worked, and anonymous website usage counts (all described below) — involve a little more data. This policy explains exactly what we handle and why.
Your game history, statistics, sound preferences, and saved game settings are stored only on the device you play on (in the app’s local storage). This information never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and is not shared with anyone. You can clear it at any time from the in-app Stats screen or by removing the app.
When you host or join a multi-device party game, your device connects to our game server to run that one live game. The only data exchanged is the temporary room code, the team names you type, and the live game state (scores, answers, whose turn it is). This information is kept in memory only for the duration of the game and is automatically discarded shortly after the game ends. It is not tied to any account or identity, is not used for advertising, and is never sold or shared.
You can play everything without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple — so that any packs you buy follow you across your phone, tablet, TV, and the web — that provider confirms who you are and gives the app a basic account identifier and your name and email address. We use the account identifier to recognize your account and link it to your purchases; your name or email is simply shown in the app so you know you’re signed in. We never receive your password, and we do not use any of this for advertising or tracking. You can sign out at any time.
If you buy a premium question pack or the all-access bundle, the purchase is handled by the store you bought it from — the Apple App Store or Google Play, or, on the web, our payment provider Stripe (through RevenueCat). Those services process the payment and handle your payment details; we never see your full card number. We receive only a record of which packs you purchased, linked to your account, so the app can unlock your content on any device where you sign in.
When you arrive at our website by tapping one of our ads, we may confirm back to the ad platform (Meta) that the visit led to a game being started or a purchase, so we can tell which ads are worth running. This is sent from our own server — no ad company’s code runs in your browser and no ad cookies are set. It includes no name, no email, and nothing you type in the game. We never send anything for visitors who didn’t come from an ad. Our iOS and Android apps contain no tracking, analytics, or advertising code of any kind.
To understand which parts of the website get used — for example, how many visitors open the pack store or tap a locked pack — our website counts those moments on our own server. Each count carries only the step name and a random identifier for your browser: no name, no email, and nothing you or your family type in the game. This is first-party measurement — it stays on our servers, no third-party analytics service is involved, and it is never sold or shared. Our iOS and Android apps send none of it. Separately, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) gives us cookieless page-view counts as part of serving the website — those don’t identify you and set nothing on your device.
You stay in control of your data:
Note that completed purchases may be retained by Apple, Google, or our payment provider as required for their own records and tax or legal obligations, and signing back in and choosing “Restore Purchases” will recreate access to anything you already bought.
This is a game made for families, and children may play. The game itself does not ask players for any personal information — during a party game, players are simply “Team A” and “Team B.” Signing in and buying packs are account-holder actions meant for a parent or adult, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we change how data is handled, we will update this policy and the “last updated” date above before those changes take effect.
